Stamford Hospital: A Look at Motherhood

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Hong Kong International Literary Festival welcomed debut Thai author of Stamford Hospital, Thammika Songkaeo for an intimate literary conversation moderated by Tingi Ko to explore women’s voices, care, and resilience.

Drawing from her novel, Thammika reflected on writing female interior lives, the emotional labour women carry, and how storytelling can illuminate overlooked forms of strength in families, communities, and healthcare settings.
