From Overwhelmed to Grounded in Motherhood

While balancing motherhood, responsibilities in her family business, and the visibility that comes with being a content creator, Yik Kwan came to coaching wanting support feeling more present, grounded, and emotionally steady amidst chaos of motherhood. Together, we explored the patterns, beliefs, and perspectives shaping her experience so she could move through motherhood with more calm, clarity, and self-trust.

The Challenge

Before coaching, Yik Kwan often felt trapped in a cycle of reacting to the demands of motherhood while carrying the pressure of trying to do everything “perfectly.”  

She wanted support navigating:

  • Overwhelm and emotional reactivity

  • Balancing her needs alongside parenting responsibilities

  • Exploring identity beyond perfectionism and guilt

  • Building self-awareness around mindset and emotional patterns

What Shifted

One of Yik Kwan’s biggest breakthroughs was realizing that while she could not control every situation, she could change how she responded to them.

She shared: “I often felt trapped in a cycle of reaction, but Tingi helped me step back and realize that while I cannot control every situation, I have absolute power over my perspective and response.”  

Through coaching, Yik Kwan experienced what she described as a “paradigm shift” that allowed her to move from overwhelm toward a calmer and more grounded approach to motherhood.
